When the nation’s oldest commercial telly channel decides to do a complete rebrand and you’re asked to be a part of it, it’s safe to say that privileges do not come larger, quite frankly! Working with a combination of on-air, branding and marketing teams, we were asked to develop a robust set of advertising templates for the entire suite of channel brands to run across all of ITV’s owned online ad inventory. Using the slick brand palettes developed for on-screen as a starting point, we created online adaptations that pushed the boundaries of standard ad creative. This is the first in the series, for ITV’s catch-up service, ITV Player.
The palette was later flexed to allow for the release of two new, exclusive ITV Player on-demand products, ‘Box Sets’ and ‘Premieres’. For these we introduced an info tab, price point roundel and re-jigged the positions of the branded animations so that they took on a more direct response feel. Still templated and still ever so easy to update and deploy!
